Welcome to Mill City Artworks 🎨

"Art Is the Handmade of Human Good."

Hi, I'm Dee Machado, the artist behind Mill City Artworks. My creative journey began long before paint ever touched canvas. Back in 2016, I was co-owner of the Phoenix Rising Pizza wood-fired food truck. One afternoon while serving pizzas in Lowell, MA, a guy named PJ from Navigation Brewing drove by and asked if we’d like to serve at his new brewery.

We said yes — and for the next six years, every Friday night became something magical. We fired hundreds of pizzas a week, shared laughs, and built friendships with the amazing community at Navigation Brewing. It wasn’t just about pizza — it was about connection.

In 2023, we made the bittersweet decision to retire the food truck. As hard as it was to say goodbye, it opened a new door. I finally had the time and space to return to my first passion: painting.

This chapter — Mill City Artworks — is a celebration of community, gratitude, and the art that brings us together. One of my first pieces honors the warmth, friendship, and unforgettable energy of those Friday nights at Navigation Brewing. It’s a toast to the people who supported us, cheered us on, and became part of our story.

Thank you for being here. Salute! 🍻
